👉The World Economic Forum provide periodical predictions on world trends. Since I’m heavily invested in AI since youth, here are some insights from 2023 report. Please take them with a grain of salt.
👉50% of surveyed companies expected AI to create job growth, when 25% anticipated job losses.
👉Tasks based jobs like clerical and secretarial are expected to decline, while data and analytics jobs will grow.
👉44% of workers skills will undergo disruption; my guess is that democratization of knowledge due to AI will touch most and reduce the costs of analytics jobs.
👉They expect essentials skills for the future to be: Analytical & Creative Thinking, and Technology Literacy. The report was printed in May 2023 while ChatGPT exploded in Nov 23, to I’ll reduce the needed future skills, only to asking the right questions and critical thinking to catch LLM hallucinations…😎
